With over 25 years experience in the hearth industry, Atlantic Fireplaces has launched their latest brands of clean, green and efficient wood stoves, wood fireplaces and wood inserts.

We pride ourselves in our unique fireplace products and have always differentiated ourselves by offering people a green solution for their heating needs.  We are proud to be partnered with Morso and Nordica and are excited to provide Newfoundlanders with a great, new wood heating alternative.  All of our wood stoves, wood fireplaces and wood inserts are made in one of two places: Montreal, Canada or Denmark.  Unlike other wood products manufactured on the Southern Pacific coast or imported from Asia, these units are made to withstand our harsh, cold Atlantic winters and are built to last, with the best warranties in the business.  Additionally our units are EPA approved which means higher efficiencies and longer burn times.

Based on 1930s Morsø Forest Stove, Morsø has launched the 2B standard. As with all current Morsø stoves, the 2B Standard is equipped with the very latest in combustion technology for greatly reduced smoke emissions. An ‘air-washed’ glazed door has been added for a comfortable uninterrupted view of the fire and the long, spacious firebox has been adapted to burn wood briquettes and logs up to 18” long. The 2B Standard produces enough heat to warm up to 1200 sq ft.

Morsø 2B Classic is a true classic which has been manufactured in different versions for more than 70 years.  This extremely popular cast-iron wood-burning stove can, with its long firebox, accommodate logs up to 18 inches in length. It is a radiant stove and is equipped with a riddling grate, ash tray and ashpan.  Like most other Morsø stoves, the 2B Classic meets the most stringent environmental requirements in the world.  Morsø’s characteristic 2B Classic with radiant heat is still a very popular series. The long firebox is large enough to take logs 18 inches long. It can heat up to 1,200 sq ft.

Morsø 1440 is a convection stove which is available with squirrel relief on the side panels.  The convection principle means that the stove quickly circulates warm air throughout the room. The size of this stove makes it the ideal choice for small heating needs, small homes, holiday homes etc. The stove produces no radiant heat and furniture can therefore be positioned relatively close to the stove. Morsø 1440 can heat up to 1,000 sq ft of living space.  The stove comes equipped with riddling grate, ash tray and ashpan, making it easy to remove ash and clean the stove. Morsø’s combustion system with airwash ensures that the glass always remains clean when the stove is correctly fired.

The Morsø 3440 is a perfectly proportioned convection stove with rounded corners and smooth side panels.  Morsø 3440 is a well-equipped cast-iron wood-burning stove featuring a sophisticated combustion system with tertiary air supply for optimum control of the combustion process. The well-balanced air supply ensures that all the fuel gases are burned, and this means that the wood-burning stoves meet even the most stringent environmental requirements.  The stove comes equipped a convenient ash pan, making it easy to remove excess ash. The large window is kept clean thanks to our ‘state-of-the-art’ air-wash system, whereby combustion air entering the stove is forced down the inner surface, thus maintaining an unobstructed view of the fire within. The Morsø 3440 can be fired with both wood and wood-briquettes and can heat an area up to 1,200 sq ft.

Behind the glass, Morsø has developed a combustion technology that uses pre-heated air to ensure a higher temperature in the firebox, so that almost all the flue gases are burnt. This results in both more environmentally friendly combustion and better fuel economy.  Morsø 6140 is a small convection stove that offers the perfect solution when heating needs are limited or as a supplement to another heat supply. The stove has a user-friendly one-handle system for managing the air supply. The stove is easy to use and maintain, and moving parts can easily be replaced.

The Morsø 6100 is tested and approved to meet some of the strictest environmental standards in the world, including the US EPA standard and the Norwegian standard NS 3058/59. Low emissions (4.1 grams/hr) and an outside-air capability makes the 6100 compliant with Washington State requirements and its maximum heat output of 30,000 BTUs/hr heats an area of up to 1000 ft².  Morsø 6148 stands like a sculpture on its pedestal. A stove with a timeless and minimalist design, and a large glass door that provides an excellent view of the dancing flames.

The new Morsø 8188 represents an exciting expansion of the 8100 series – with exclusive side windows. The broad and beautifully shaped glass windows provide an extra view of the flames, make the stove light and lively, and create a delightful mood in the room.  The Model 8188 is easy and intuitive to use, because the stove's air intake, and thus its combustion and heat output, are controlled by means of a single handle. Based on the convection principle, this wood-burning stove offers incredibly clean and efficient combustion, which burns off environmentally undesirable chimney gases. That's why this stove has been approved under the strictest environmental requirements in the world, including Nordic Standard NS 3058/59 and the Nordic Swan Eco-label.
